It doesn't take long for news to break out in today's technologically face paced and advancing world. It seems like each and every day there's some sort of new technology or form of social media that alerts us to the big political scandal of the day or what Canadian mortgage companies are now charging when it comes to interest rates. You no longer need to wait for the next day's newspaper or that night's TV newscast to let you know what's happening in your city, state, province, or country.

Anything that is newsworthy will be Tweeted about, put on Facebook, blogged about, e-mailed, or texted within seconds of it becoming news. That's just the way we live now. If you're in the waiting room of an Oshawa dentistry firm and there are rumblings of a plant shutting down business you will be forwarded that information immediately. Anytime there is a factory or business closure about to happen or a new company is going to be moving in to town and putting down some roots to create new jobs it will always make the news.

It has to. Job openings and closings are always going to be big news. Anything that has to do with the city's local economy will always be reported on because of the impact it will have, not only on the community's economy, but also on the community itself. If you work at a plant that's going to be shutting down or at a Windsor home security company that's going to be going out of business that affects you immensely. You need to know about because you have to start worrying about finding a new job.

The opposite is true when a new factory that manufactures auto parts such as industrial valves decides to open up a plant in your town. A new plant means new job opportunities for everyone that lives there. Those who have a job but aren't happy with what they do or where they work will have a new place to apply their talents to. While those currently unemployed will get a new opportunity to find employment and pay the bills to help support themselves or their family.

Whether a company is shutting down for good or a new company is moving in it will always be news. It has to be. People need to be as updated as possible on any and all matters related to the economy, as it will affect them directly. It doesn't matter if you're a social worker, freelance writer, factory worker or a chef for hire in Toronto, Thunder Bay, North Vancouver, or Edmonton, you need to be aware of any all job openings and closings in town.
